Blocking Bicycle Lanes

  • A vehicle parked in a bicycle lane can cause a collision between a traveling cyclist and that vehicle, or expose cyclists to danger by forcing them to swerve into the flow of traffic.
  • There is currently legislation filed that would make it a ticketable offense to park a motor vehicle in a marked bicycle lane, punishable by a fine of up to $100.
